Speaking of Tokyo’s most famous observation deck, the main ones will be Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Sky Tree. Personally, I like Tokyo Tower by far. There is also an aquarium and a theme park based on the popular manga/anime One Piece within the tower. So you can have a good time other than the observatory. And above all, there is history, stately and beautiful. Of course, Tokyo Sky Tree is also a wonderful tower and I think that it is worth visiting once. Aquarium, planetarium, shopping street, etc. You can enjoy various things other than the observation platform. But it costs a lot of money. Tokyo Tower is 1,420 yen, Tokyo Sky Tree is 3090 yen. That is very expensive! I can not afford that kind of money! I just want to climb the observatory and look over beautiful cities of Tokyo! I want to see Mt. Fuji from Tokyo! For those who has the same feeling as me, the observatory of Shinjuku metropolitan government is recommended.
Mt. Fuji can be seen in the west, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Sky Tree, Meiji Jingu, such a nice scenery is overlooked and it is absolutely free. If the Godzilla wanders around Shinjuku building, will not you turn into a robot? The building looks like it would turn into a giant robot if Godzilla ever attacks the city.
Also, it is not well known by Japanese people that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has several staff canteens, and people other than the staff of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government can use it. The restaurant has a nice view, it’s affordable, healthy, and tasty!
There are some free observation towers in Tokyo, but Tokyo Metropolitan Government is the best! You should go when visiting Shinjuku!
